 On Wednesday, September 22, Bring It In - Israel Head Coach David Lasday participated in the 2010 Up2Us Summit on Capitol Hill to meet with policy makers, members of congress, and federal agencies. Sports Based Youth Development professional came from around the country to share their stories on why youth sports matter. Five youth sports coaches were honored as Coaches of the Year. The event was sponsored by Laureus Sports for Good Foundation and The George Washington University. Up2Us did an amazing job putting together the summit. Lasday says, "Up2Us is an impressive organization, and they did a great job with the summit. Bring It In - Israel was happy to participate."
Up2Us is a national coalition for Sports Based Youth Development organizations. Since 2008 Up2Us has been leading the movement to use sports to address critical issues facing youth like childhood obesity, poor health and nutrition, academic failure, and antisocial behavior.
