September Childhood Obesity Awareness Month 09/01/2010
![]() In order to bring national attention to a growing epidemic among American youth the U.S. Senate designated September "Childhood Obesity Awareness Month." Over 23 million children in the United States ages 2 -19 are obese or overweight. Many American Jewish youth suffer from obesity. With this New Jewish Year, we as a community should make a resolution to encourage and teach our children to live healthier lifestyles, composed of exercise and eating right.
