Pittsburgh, PA – On Tuesday October 19th, 2010, Bring It In – Israel Head Coach David Lasday conducted an Israel Sports Education Day at Adat Shalom Religious School in Fox Chapel, for children in the third and fourth grade. The theme of the day was working B'yachad (together). Students learned how to show support for their teammates in Hebrew while participating in team building games. They heard from Head Coach David Lasday about working and living in Israel, and learned Israel geography through "My Body Is Israel."
According to Gail Schmitt, Director of Adat Shalom Religious School,“The Bring It In – Israel program really connected with the children. They learned in a fun and engaging manner in which they did not even know they were being taught.”
After participating in Bring It In – Israel’s Sports Education Day, Adat Shalom 4th Grader Rachel Himmel said, “I want to go to Israel even more now, I loved playing the relays and doing it all together.”
