The spirit and motivation of sport is used as a means to help guide the disabled from a state of helplessness to productive, fulfilling lives. It has been proven that, in addition to promoting physical and mental rehabilitation, sports activities significantly prolong the life expectancy of the seriously disabled.  Sports can teach this children (and adults) more about responsibility, dedication, independence, teamwork, and competition more than any other teaching tool."

"While sport may temporarily divide factions of people due to the inherent nature of a team structured system, sport does a lot of good for building communities.  There will be disagreement as to who has a better team and additional argument based on competition, but all participants and spectators of each sport may rally around their true love of the game, and forget about the differences that they have off of the field of play, at least for a brief amount of time.  Whether it be different religious groups playing together or interaction between middle class American Jews and disadvantaged Israeli youth, sport has the power to create life lasting bonds and spur creativity, motivation, and passion in the hearts of those playing and watching.  The best education comes from experience.  I'm on board."

The Native Americans called lacrosse "Little Brother of War"; those who competed in the ancient version of the sport brought glory and honor to themselves and their tribes.

In modern sport, the spirit of comradarie is constant between teammates, opponents and supporters. At any sporting event, big or small, participants and witnesses sweat and cringe, celebrate and chagrin, all through the natural microcosm of life that takes place on fields and courts of competition.

Team sports by nature is a unifier and as a powerful platform it must be used to educate and bring positive impact to our planet.
